When your kid has lousy handwriting...
It's time to do something about it!Miss Sarah is way ahead of the first grade level in
reading and math, but kindergartners have
better handwriting than she does.
Seriously.
It's not that she isn't able to do it,
it is the simple fact that she would rather
not spend the time on it.
{sigh}
She is a very high "I" personality and likes to
focus on things that are fun, etc.
So, let's make it fun!
When I was at the Five Below store in Rockford, I picked up two books:
Grade 2 Homework Helpers Manuscript Handwriting and One Direction: One and Only.
IF she finished the writing book (neatly) she gets the One Direction book.
She is head over heels about some Neils chap in the group and she is only six {another sigh}.
Her teacher is all for it and thinks it is a great idea.
We are following it with a daily journal in summer - but you will read more about that later.

How do you motivate your kids?
